The Feeder Valve
Meet the InoxFlow Feeder Valve – engineered for precise, hygienic control of powder discharge in continuous processes.
This is not your typical rotary valve. Unlike traditional designs that can cause flooding, stacking, or inconsistent flow, the Feeder Valve uses a motorized rotary system to regulate product movement smoothly and reliably. By adjusting motor speed, operators maintain stable flow from vessels to downstream equipment while minimizing waste and operator intervention.
The key design advantage lies in the valve geometry itself. The internal body is machined so that, at a specific rotor angle, a lobe sits close to the valve wall and effectively blocks the product path. This creates a natural choke point that prevents uncontrolled discharge. As the rotor moves past this position, material is released in a controlled manner, enabling a smooth transition from flow interruption to steady discharge.
Mounting System
For larger valves, we recommend our Mounting System to make fitting and removing heavier valves easier and safer.
The Compact Mounting Collar Bayonet system consists of:
- A proprietary welding ferrule with machined slots, to be welded in place on the outlet
- The valve fitted with locating pins that engage in the slots
- A clamp to secure the valve to the ferrule
- An O-ring to ensure tightness at the joint
Using the system is simple and intuitive:
- Place the valve face against the ferrule so that the pins engage in the slots
- Rotate the valve a few degrees so the valve is held in place by the pins in the slots
- Fit the clamp
Removing the valve is also easier and, above all, safer, as it is now a simple two-stage process. The valve is held in place by the pins when the clamp is removed, so there is no danger of it falling and causing injury or damage.
